Who are the United Methodist Women (UMW)?
They are the largest group of organized women in the world. Their purpose is to serve God, focusing on women, children, and youth. The Millbrook UMW unit currently has 40 active, dedicated women. Millbrook’s unit has three circles that meet monthly either in a member’s home or the fellowship hall. One circle meets during the day and 1 in the evening, which offers times to accommodate the retired and those currently working. Each quarter a general meeting is held. These meetings, held on a Sunday after church services include a luncheon, a program and discussion of upcoming events, new projects and concerns.
The United Methodist Women are asking for your gently used coats of all sizes to help the less fortunate. Please bring them to church and place them on the rack in the fellowship hall. The coat drive will continue.
