United Methodist Women

Who are the United Methodist Women (UMW)?

They are the largest group of organized women in the world. Their purpose is to serve God, focusing on women, children, and youth.    The Millbrook UMW unit currently has 40 active, dedicated women.  Millbrook’s unit has three circles that meet monthly either in a member’s home or the fellowship hall. One circle meets during the day and 2 in the evening, which offers times to accommodate the retired and those currently working.  Each quarter a general meeting is held. These meetings, held on a Sunday after church services include a luncheon, a program and discussion of  upcoming events, new projects and concerns.

Officers for 2018  include: Lyndall Barlow, President;  Brenda Hargrave, Secretary; Deborah Boutelier, Treasurer; Eloise McLean, spiritual growth;  Diane West, Assistant Treasurer;  Reba Wooten, Membership & Nurture & Outreach; and Vilma Lawrence, Historian.

For information or to share a desire to join, contact the church office at 285-4114 or Reba Wooten at 334-285-9480.
